Clay Hill Rocket Man
Although we did not anticipate adding a Saanen buck to our herd in the Fall of 2022, when we had the opportunity to bring Rocket here we felt he would be a good addition. His two dry yearling daughters did extremely well in 2022 both quickly earning their dry legs and his daughter Roxanne winning THREE Best In Show awards! We are looking forward to seeing some kids from him in 2023 and plan to use him more in the Fall 2023. He has a fun pedigree behind him with some notable animals, He is extremely long, tall, and level; all characteristics we have seen he passes down to his daughters.
Fox's Pride GW's Inferno
Although we didn't anticipate retaining a son out of GW in the Spring of 2021, when we lost GW we knew Inferno would be a great son to keep in his place. Combining many strong lines here at Fox's Pride, with some Woest-Hoeve and Kastdemur's in the mix, Inferno is an exciting young buck for us. We look forward to watching him mature.
Rustic Wood's MLT Immortal
When we were looking for a new Lamancha herd sire in the spring of 2019, it wasn't a hard decision for us to look to the Rustic Woods herd, and especially to CH Rustic Wood JH Infinity. So when we had a chance to bring Immortal, or "Morty", here to Fox's Pride we were thrilled! Morty's dam Infinity (LA 91) took the New England show scene by storm in 2019. She was shown at 6 shows, went Best of Breed 5 times and went BEST IN SHOW AT 4 OUT OF 6 shows! That is an incredible show performance. When you look at Infinity there is not much you could possibly change about her, she is strong, tall, and wide, balanced throughout, with a stunning mammary system! Morty's sire Mint Leaf Tsunami appraised 89 in 2019 as a yearling, and is incredibly impressive to look at as well. Morty is level across the topline and correct on his feet and legs. His sister's have followed in their dam's footsteps winning all over New England in 2020. We loved Morty's kids that were produced in 2020, and retained 4 doe kids out of 4 different dams. The nice part about retaining does from 4 different dams is that it allows us to see where Morty is going to be consistent, and we just LOVE all 4 of the does we retained. They all have amazing rear leg sets, strong feet and legs, and beautiful toplines, with width throughout.
Barnowl Quartermaster
When we had the opportunity to bring in Quartermaster in the summer of 2021 we had to jump at the chance. We had long admired his dam in the Barnowl herd, and had admired Quartermaster who resided in a friend's herd not far from us. We also had the opportunity to bring in his 2 daughters at the same time, although they are dry 2 year olds they are scheduled to kid in the Fall of 2021 and the Spring of 2022. Quartermaster despite being in heavy rut and being a bit thinner than we prefer appraised well in the summer of 2021 with a score of 89.
